The visor is formed by cutting of a curved strip from a thin sheet of semi-rigid material, including a pair of slots (6,7) close to each of its end portions. Alternatively two oblong holes (16) or at least one tongue portion are formed at the ends of the strip, to allow attachment to the arms of the spectacle frame. The ends (10,12) of the slots are positioned, and the length of the slots selected, such that the spectacle arms (5) pass through each slot in turn. The slots are inclined relative to the axes of the spectacle arms in order to prevent rotational movement of the strip relative to the frame when secured in position. ADVANTAGE - Prevents visor slipping to block forward vision.
