The material comprises a photosensitive layer which is dispersible in aq. alkaline soln., this dispersibility being reduced when the material is activated by exposure to radiation. The photosensitive layer comprises a dispersion of a pigment in a photosensitive material (I) consisting of an oligomer contg. more than one free radical polymerisable ethylencially unsatd. gp. per mol. at least one acid gp. per mol. and at least one amine gp. per mol.. Pref. (I) has the formula (T1)x-Q(T3)z-(T2)y (I) in which Q = an organic gp.; T1 = a free radical polymerisable ethylenically unsaturated gp.; T2 = an amine-contg. gp.; T3 = an acid contg. gp.' x = a postitive number of greater than or equal to 1, esp. 1-120; y = a positive number less than x, esp. 0.1-60, and z = a positive number less than x, esp. 0.1-60. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsns. are negative working colour pigmented photosensitive materials which can be developed in aq. developer solns. and which can be endowed with desired solubility characteristics during synthesis of the binder.
