The hygienic tray (10) for cats, contg. litter (30), consists of two separate trays (10a,10b) fitted one above the other, so that the upper tray (10a) holds the clean litter (30a) for hygienic use and the lower tray (10b) is a receptacle for dirty litter (30b). The two trays are connected by an evacuation outlet (12a) in the partition of the base (11a) of the upper tray (10a). A waste bag (40), in the lower tray, is connected to the outlet (12a), to receive the soiled litter. The outlet (12a) may be connected to an outlet pipe (13a), passing into the interior of the waste bag (40) and pressing onto the base (11a) of the lower tray when the two trays are in place, acting as a stopper. The outlet opening (12a) is in one of the angles of the base (11a) of the upper tray. ADVANTAGE - The tray is more comfortable for the animal and easier for the owner to handle, while improving the hygiene. The upper tray prevents the escape of odours from the lower tray.
