Frame alignment process for digitised images - uses shift register to store two frames and searches for sequence to indicate position of each frame

The process involves using an electronic circuit which reads in serial data consisting of digitised images in the form of multiple frames. The incoming data is de-multiplexed into parallel data which is loaded into a shift register (101) capable of holding two frames. The register contents are searched for a binary pattern (A1) representing a synchronisation signal for the frame. When the pattern (A1) is identified alignment data for the frames is generated and stored to allow alignment of successive frames. ADVANTAGE - Simplified and improved electronic circuit for alignment and reconstruction of multiple frame optical image.
