Inverter for reversible load in electric vehicle - uses dual rectifier circuits on secondaries of inverter transformer and switching to allow reversible operation

The inverter has a rectifier supplying a chopper circuit. The chopper circuit supplies a transformer winding with two secondary circuits. The secondaries each supply a rectifier that is connected through a filter to the reversible electric load (11) which is a battery. The two secondary circuits incorporate switches (K1,K2) that allow the battery (11) or electric motor load to be connected back to the input of the chopper. In this mode the main battery supplies the power to the auxiliary supply. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, compact reversible converter circuit to allow battery or motor to supply auxiliary power circuit in electric vehicle.
