The device for passage of an electric cable includes a boot (6) which may be made of braided metal wire which may be folded back on itself. The sleeve (5) may be welded to the perimeter of a hole (3) in the walls of the enclosure (2). Alternatively the sleeve may be threaded with an external flange at one end against which a nut is turned to clamp the enclosure wall. Another version places the flange at the midpoint of the sleeve. The collars (7, 8) ensure electrical and mechanical continuity between the cable (1) and the sleeve. The collars are plastic while the braiding is 0.11 mm "MONEL".
