The marker stake, for fixing boundaries or indicating underground pipes or cables for use in soft ground, consists of a head (2) of truncated pyramid shape recessed for a plate and fixed to a shaft (1). The shaft bottom is fixed to a circular baseplate (5) with upturned side. The baseplate, whose circumference is preferably the length required for circumscribing the greater base of the head, has two holes (6). The stake may be placed in a hole, of the same diameter as the baseplate, which is then filled with concrete.
