The sealing strip is fixed directly to a rebate (F) of the body of the vehicle, by the fixing element (1). An internal (2) and an external (3) section provide at least one sealing lip (30) and pivot elastically,under the action of the moving glass (5), to form the seal. The internal section (2) is formed as a lever arm (21), which is rigid and not deformable. It pivots under the action of the upper edge of the sliding glass (5),to bring the external section (3) into the sealing position. The external section carries an application leg (31), which is moved by the lever arm (21), to cause the lip (30) into the sealing position. USE/ADVANTAGE - It produces an effective seal, which requires little effort to close.
