The assembly for a platform supporting a load floating in an enclosure, has three bolting points (4-6) each comprising a cam (14-16) which is in the form of a battle-axe blade. The blade is built into and centred in a double-slotted channel. Each cam is made of steel, and its radius differs very slightly from that of the reinforcement in which it is encased. This has the effect of variable stiffness with hard points of passage. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rapidly assembled support platforms for scientific applications such as space satellites.
