P This method for improving the residual polarization of a layer of polymer material comprises the following steps: BR/ - making, on the surface of a substrate (1), a network (2) of micron or submicron dimensions; BR/ - deposition of a polymer layer (3); BR/ - annealing (melting) at an annealing temperature slightly above the melting temperature of the polymer for a time depending on this annealing temperature; BR/ - quenching at a temperature around the recrystallization temperature of the polymer and preferably very slightly at this recrystallization temperature; BR/ - application of an electric field by polarization of the polymer layer (3). BR/ The invention is applicable to the production of pyroelectric transducers and piezoelectric transducers. / P
