Photosensitive compositions are made from polymerisable resin base under the effect of light radiation and a polymerisation reaction catalyst by sending a long wavelength light beam onto the composition giving rapid local heating; sending a second light beam onto the parts heated by the first to execute the polymerisable resin from a level of vibration and rotation of the catalyst so forming unstable polymerisation participating species; washing the photosensitive composition to illuminate the non insulated polymerisable resin. The light beams ar laser generated, the second being I.R. The compositions colourant absorbs in the U.V. and blue range, the visible and I.R. The polymerisable substance is unsaturated ester alcohols pref. polyols or unsaturated amides. The catalyst is e.g. benzo ether, phosphine oxides etc.. USE/ADVANTAGE - Preparation of photosensitive compositions partic. for data storage systems. Gives a composition with better spacial resolution using larger wavelength beams and corresp lower energies.
