The connector is for a cable which includes two conductors (10,12) lying parallel within a dielectric (14) surrounded by a screening conductor (16) which may be made from a mesh of zinc coated copper. This is then encased by two protective layers of insulation (18,20). To make a connection to the cable, the connector is inserted into the body of the cable, carrying two pins (26,28) with pointed ends which can penetrate the cable. The pins have a coating of insulating material (32) at the positions where they will pass through the screening layer. The insulating material is resistant to abrasion and prevents connection with the screen. ADVANTAGE - Staple-like connection may be inserted at any point along cable, and retains airtight connection with conductor.
