Secondary child's seat integrated into vehicle seat - with main seat back forms child's seat by pivoting around transverse horizontal axis

The child safety seat is fitted as a secondary seat and is integrated into a principal seat (10). The back of the child seat is formed by the seat cushion (14) of the principal seat and the child seat (13') is formed by a part (13) of the back (11) of the main seat. The seat is rotatable around a horizontal transverse axis (23). The transverse axis is held at the sides by two connecting rods (20,20'), which pivot around their own axes (21), carried by the support plates (22). A locking plate (43) and linkage is used to lock the child seat, in the position for use, and is operated by the main operating handle. A second locking mechanism is used to immobilise the child seat back. USE/ADVANTAGE - It provides a comfortable ride for the either occupant, in whichever position it is used.
