The shelf has a small cupboard (2) to hold cookery books and a light board (6) for writing messages. Receptacles (4) in front of the board hold odds and ends. A small front shelf (17) holds pots of herbs and spices and has a rod (19) underneath which holds a roll of kitchen paper (19A) and clothes. Beside the board there is a room thermometer (14) and a calendar (8). This is held by screws (7) with knobs screwed to their tops. There is a timer (16) and a light (15) on the top of the board and the cupboard wall (20) is glazed to illuminate it. USE - To hold cooking accessories in a kitchen.
