P This IPD information processing device is installed on a RES computer resource to allow, via a standard protocol like SNMP and through a network like TCP / IP, dialogue between a system MAN and the RES resource. The IPD device consists on the one hand of means of referral and management of the DIS dialogue comprising a configuration file CF and on the other hand of a set of agents A1, A2, ..., An specific to the protocol SNMP, a protocol which is also used in the IPD device. The means DIS receive requests from the MAN system and after reading the file CF direct them according to the object on which they relate to one or more of the agents A1, A2, ..., An then receive the responses to the requests from the appropriate agents and forward them to the MAN system. /P
