The composite floor panel protects the train load from collision shocks in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The lower plate (6) is attached in the area of the long travel shock absorber (8) in two places. In one position on its external surface a displacement plate (2) is attached with adhesive. This plate carries two end stops (1) spaced according to the length of the shock absorber. At a second position on the interior edge a load-bearing system (3,4) is located. This is integral to the middle core of solid foam. ADVANTAGE - Eliminates requirement for rail vehicle sub-chassis.
