The two halves of the fixture for the assembly of the two pieces (1,2) are made up of conical forms one male (4) the other female (3) which engage one inside of the other. To ensure the correct orientation, the cross section of each part is in the form of an ellipse. Thus alignment and orientation is provided for the automation of the assembly process. The two parts can be held together by clips (13,14) or (19,20). USE/ADVANTAGE - For the automation of the assembly process of two parts, such as a plant pot and its saucer base, thus speeding up its production.
