The strip for fixing and tensioning flexible facings is generally about facing L-shaped with its shorter leg or back (5), roughly parallel to the surface (4) to be covered, and bent round below (19,10) and doubled back to form jaws (2) with an extension (18) of the longer leg for the flexible covering material (3). The longer vertical leg is pinned to the supporting structure (13). The face (21) of the extension (18) is concave to hold the edge (22) of the flexible covering material (3) against the support. The inside faces of the jaws (2) are toothed to provide a better grip. USE/ADVANTAGES - Improved design, low cost extruded PVC or similar, can be fitted at variable distance from surface to be covered.
