Installation, for the transporting and collecting of food residua in the framework of recovery collection activities, of the type comprising a container for receiving and for grinding the collected detritus, connected to a pipe for removing it towards a rubbish collector, is noteworthy in that it comprises a primary circuit (CP) consisting of a receptacle (4) forming a hopper opening out above an assembly (5) for grinding the food products, the said assembly being connected to a booster pump (9), the outlet of which is connected via a control valve (11) to a pipeline (2) conveying the ground products to the collecting bin (12), and in that the movement of the products within the pipeline takes place with the aid of a compressed-air jet (thrust) controlled by means (13-14), and in that the installation comprises a secondary, cleaning circuit (CS), operating using water, connected to the said primary circuit (CP), in order to ensure that it is drained and cleaned.
