The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a pressing matrix for the manufacture of optical disks containing both information or one or more holograms. This manufacturing process consists in depositing a resin layer (2) sensitive to a stress (3) on a glass support (1) and in recording the information to be duplicated in this resin layer (2) by applying the stress (3). The areas (4) of transformed resin are eliminated and the information to be duplicated is transferred to the glass support (1) by etching. The areas (2) of residual resin are then eliminated. Next, a second resin layer (8) sensitive to a second stress (9) is deposited on the glass support (1) on which is etched the information to be duplicated and the same procedure as before is carried out in order to record the hologram(s). As a result, the master disk (13) is obtained, which is next coated with a thin metal layer (14). The requisite pressing matrix (16) is obtained by an electroforming step. This process applies to the manufacture of master disks and/or pressing matrices allowing the production of optical disks containing both one or more holograms or information. IMAGE
