Process for purifying phthalimido-peroxycaproic acid (PAP) from chlorinated solvents, by dissolving it in a polar and volatile solvent selected from alcohols, ketones and aliphatic esters, and a following crystallization thereof and solvent stripping.PP Preferred solvents are aliphatic esters, in particular ethyl acetate.
