PURPOSE: To automatically control the amt. of a neutralizing agent injected according to information on materials and plant conditions and thus stably maintain a suitable pH in the overhead system of a normal-pressure distilation column. ;CONSTITUTION: The apparatus has a neutralizing-agent injection line 20 to prevent the corrosion in the overhead system 11 of a normal-pressure distillation column, a controller 30 to automatically control the amt. of a neutralizing agent injected with the injection line 20, a pH-detecting means 33 to detect the pH in the overhead system using accumulator water from a receiver a material information input means 31 to obtain information on materials supplied to the distillation column, and flow rate detecting means 34, 35, and 36 to detect the flow rate according to the amts. of taking out and reflux at the overhead system. The controller calculates and determines a neutralization titration curve basing on the material information and the amt. of the agent injected basing on the information obtd. with the pH-detecting means and the flow rate detecting means, thus controlling the amt. of the agent injected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
