PURPOSE:In a tap switching apparatus for performing three-phase simultaneous switching, to perform smooth switching for a two-phase apparatus or a single phase apparatus by arranging a required wavy motion restraint at the vacuum valve part of a vacant phase at the time of constitution of the two-phase apparatus or the single-phase apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A driving shaft 26 rotates by the discharge energy of an accumulator, and the three phases of a vacuum valve type on-load tap are switched at the same time by opening or closing a main valve and a resistance valve in order through a cam, etc. The vacuum valve part for a vacant phase when constituting a two-phase apparatus or a single phase apparatus, is provided with a wavy motion restraint 40 which consists of the ball 42 of a rolling member in contact with the periphery of a groove cam 41 and a compressing spring 43, and the ball 42 is pressed against the groove cam 41, and due to the vacant phase, even at the part where the groove is wide, the wavy motion is suppressed and the rotating motion becomes smooth even in the constitution of a two-phase apparatus or a single-phase apparatus, and the tap can be switched favorably and smoothly.
