VOLUME REDUCING AND SOLIDIFYING APPARATUS FOR WASTE CONTAINING WASTE PLASTIC MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To enhance the consolidation degree with a compact structure and increase colorific value by crushing, kneading, compressing and melting combined materials under high consolidation at a pair of shafts with spiral blades in a casing in which a downstream side of the shafts is narrowed. CONSTITUTION:A presser 16 and a second spiral element 17 engaged with a long rotary shaft 12 are rotatably driven in a counter clockwise direction (a). When bulky waste containing much water content and many plastics in which large metal pieces, etc., are removed is charged from a supply port 11a in this state, the waste is agitated by relatively long first spiral elements 14, 14' in a casing 11 and a lining 30, crushed to a liner block 31 and in a minimum space between the shafts, kneaded, compressed, raised at its temperature by friction, and conveyed toward the presser 16. The waste to be treated is crushed to chips, simultaneously compressed, kneaded, and conveyed to an outlet 11c side while raising it at its temperature in the steps.
