METHOD FOR SETTING POSITION OF STARTING POINT OF FEED SCREW MECHANISM

PURPOSE: To dispense with the installation of parts where special maintenances are required, easily set the starting point by the automatic operation, and set the position of the starting point of a feed screw mechanism in an NC equipment with high precision without being affected by the change of the temperature, the shock, the adhesion of dust, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: A feed screw mechanism is provided with a numerically controlled servo motor 4, a feed screw 1, a moving member (a headstock 7) fixed to a nut member 6, a fixing member (a headstock supporting base 9) or an abutting member in the vicinity of the forward moving end of the headstock 7. After the nut member 6 is advanced until the moving member 7 is brought into contact with the fixing member 9 or the abutting member, and the load on the servo motor 4 exceeds the prescribed value by the contact, the feed screw 1 is reversely rotated to retract the nut member 6, and the prescribed rotational position of the feed screw 1 is detected by an encoder 5, and the position of the nut member 6 at the time point of the detection is stored in a numerically controlled device as the position of the starting point of the feed screw mechanism.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
