PURPOSE: To secure the strength and pitting corrosion resistance of a thinned tube material as for a tube material for a heat exchanger such as an automobile radiator brazed by a noncorrosive flux such as fluoride compounds. ;CONSTITUTION: This tube material is constituted of an aluminum alloy core material having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.4 to 1.6% Fe and 0.7 to 1.7% Mn so as to satisfy total ≤2.4% Fe and Mn, furthermore contg. 0.7 to 1.3% Si and 0.3 to 1.5% Cu so as to satisfy total: 1.5% Si and Cu, contg. the same Fe and Mn and Si and Cu in the ranges satisfying the following inequality, in which the content of Mg is moreover regulated to ≤0.1%, and the balance aluminum with inevitable impurities Fe (%)+Mn (%)≥1.7×[2.5×Si (%)+Cu (%)]-4.2, an aluminum alloy surface material clad to one side of the core material and contg. 1.0 to 3.0% Zn, 0.5 to 2.5% Mg, 0.05 to 0.5% Si and 0.05 to 0.5% Fe and an Al-Si brazing filler metal clad to the other side of the core material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
