FIXED SLIDING VANE FOR ROLLING PISTON ROTARY COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: To reduce metal contact and wear between a vane and the outer surface of a rolling piston without reducing the energy efficiency of a compressor by using a vane of the type defining a compression chamber and a suction chamber inside a cylinder. ;CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 20 includes a cylinder case 10 fixed to the inside of a compressor and has a built-in rolling piston 21 driven by an eccentric shaft 22 supported by bearings 23, 24. The eccentric shaft 22 is driven by the rotor 31 of an electric motor 30 where a stator 32 is attached to the inner wall of the case 10. The cylinder 20 has a radial slot enclosing a vane 25 having a free end 27 which slides on the surface of the rolling piston 21. Further, the vane 25 is of the type defining a compression chamber 50 and a suction chamber 60 inside the cylinder 20 on its opposite sides. Therefore, intermittent metal contact between the vane 25 and the outer surface of the rolling piston 21 can be substantially reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
