PURPOSE:To manufacture a composite seal ring simply and swiftly and to reduce a rejection rate, by providing fitting a groove in which the upper half part of a member for formation of a composite seal ring is fitted and a top force forming a fine gap part which is communicated and connected respectively with the upper part from both side end parts of the inside and outside of a cavity and is in about an L-shaped cross section under a state where the said cavity is formed of the fitting groove and a fitting groove of a bottom force. CONSTITUTION:A halved body 3b of a material 4 for formation of a composite seel ring is fitted in a fitting groove 10 of a bottom force 7, and a rubber elastic ring 1 is fitted in the said halved body 3b. Then after a halved body 3a has been fitted to the rubber elastic ring 1, the bottom force 7 and a top force 6 are approached mutually with each other, and the halved body 3a is fitted in a fitting groove 17 of the top force 6. Now both the halved bodies 3a, 3b are melted by the said top and bottom forces 6, 7 which are heated by a heating platen. Then the top and bottom forces 6, 7 are approached further cooled, the halved bodies 3a, 3b are fused together while resin is allowed to flow out into a fine gap parts 19, 19 in about an L-shaped cross section from a cavity 18 to integrate a covering layer 3, and a composite seal ring 5 is formed within the cavity 18.
