摘要

PURPOSE:To prepare a stable functional macromolecule wherein various functional compounds are covalently bonded to a macromolecule as a carrier under the same conditions and the bonded compounds are not released by converting a hydroxylated macromolecule into a halogenated derivative and coupling this derivative with a specified functional compound. CONSTITUTION:A functional macromolecule is prepared by converting a hydroxylated macromolecule into a halogenated derivative (e.g. 2,3- dibromopropylcellulose) and coupling this derivative with at least one functional compound selected from among an amino-containing ligand molecule (e.g. a functional compound selected from among a coenzyme, a polypeptide and a protein), a mercapto-containing ligand molecule and a phosphorous ester. The obtained macromolecule is stable one wherein the macromolecule as a carrier can be covalently bonded to the functional ligand molecules or proteins under the same conditions, and the introduced ligands or proteins are not released during repeated use.
