PURPOSE:To ensure the extent of sealability between an opening on a shaft side wall and a segment and enable them to be easily connected, by making the tunnel segment sealable in the face of external earth pressure, and connecting and supporting it displaceably in both the longitudinal and radial directions. CONSTITUTION:It copes with the external earth pressure by a seal means 14 which provides a ring elastic sealing plate 15 sealing an interval between an opening 11 at a shaft side wall and the circumference of a segment 13 and a support member 16. Next, a back-filling material 28 is poured into a clearance between a tunnel inner surface and an outer circumferential surface of the segment 13. Then, an elastic supporting means 30 supporting the segment 13 displaceably in both the longitudinal and radial directions to the shaft side wall 10 is installed in the opening 11. In addition, a washer member 34 and a nut 35 are attached to a bolt 33, clamping this nut 35 for tight attachment. With this constitution, the extent of sealability between the opening 11 and the segment 13 is ensured, thus any possible breakdown to each member can be prevented from occurring.
