PURPOSE: To obtain a method and equipment for determining deterioration of a water level detecting electrode suitably employed in boiler or the like. ;CONSTITUTION: The inventive equipment comprises a first water level detecting electrode S for turning a water supply pump P OFF when the water level rises over a detection end S1, and a second water level detecting electrode M for turning the water supply pump P ON when the water level drops below a detection end Ml set lower than the detection end S1. A first timer means starts accumulation when the first water level detecting electrode S detects no-water, and a decision is made that the second water level detecting electrode M is abnormal if the second water level detecting electrode M does not detect no- water before the accumulated value reaches a set value T1. A second timer means starts accumulation when the second water level detecting electrode M detects water, and a decision is made that the first water level detecting electrode S is abnormal if the first water level detecting electrode S does not detect water before the accumulated value reaches a set value T2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
