PURPOSE: To provide a semiconductor ceramics having a negative resistance temp. coefficient, low specific resistance and high B constant, allowing a large current to flow in a steady state. ;CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor ceramics having a negative resistance temp. coefficient is composed by adding, at least, one of Si, Zr, Hf, Ta, Sn, Sb, W, Mo, Te and Ce 0.001-10mol% to a compound contg. a rare earth transition element type oxide (excluding Ce from the rare earth elements but Y) as a main components.
