PURPOSE: To eliminate the ghost in a television receiver which is mounted on a vehicle and adopting the diversity reception system. ;CONSTITUTION: The frequency with which the antenna having the maximum reception level is selectively switched because of the diversity reception system is checked by an antenna selection control circuit 7a and an antenna switching detection circuit 9a. Signals are selected as the reference signal of ghost elimination in the order from the signal requiring the shortest time for noise elimination by a ghost eliminating circuit 82a; for example, a horizontal synchronizing signal is selected as the reference signal in the case of the high frequency, and a vertical synchronizing signal is selected in the case of the middle frequency, and a GCR signal is selected in the case of the low frequency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
