Signal transmission manner and the signal repeater null in cone penetration

PURPOSE:To obviate interruption with the survey of soil by disconnection of signal cable as well as make the survey of soil easier by removing a signal cable in a boring rod in the penetration test of cone. CONSTITUTION:A signal link receiver 6 is provided in an unit rod 102, and solenoid coils 601 and 603 for receiving signals of the link receiver 6 are set on both ends of the rod 102. Signals from a cone 101 are transmitted to a processor on the ground by connecting the coils 601 and 603 electromagnetically in a chain form in each link receiver 6 when connecting the rods 102. Since the signals from the cone 102 are received in a radio connecting manner by the link receiver 6 in the rods 102 connected, the need for signal cables 4 can be eliminated for the boring rod 1.
