PURPOSE: To provide the bolt which can be fastened while a coating film is removed by providing blades projecting from the section of screw threads into the grooves provided in a threaded part. ;CONSTITUTION: The grooves 13 are provided axially from the end face 12 of the threaded part 11 of the bolt 1. The peripheral edges of the grooves 13 have the blades 16 formed at the time of form rolling of the thread and relief parts 17 on the opposite side thereof. The bolt is screwed and fastened in such a manner that the coating material is scraped into the grooves 13 by these blades 16. The bolt is fastened while the coating material is surely removed at the time of fastening the parts to a coated product by using this bolt without masking the screw hole and, therefore, there is reliability and the operation for masking and retapping is eliminated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
