PURPOSE:To enable a simple and rapid designing by executing input of information on the list of elements for constituting a voucher and a slip, formation of a line image, tracing operation, formation of a screen, and application of characters. CONSTITUTION:Information of characters, the number of digits, etc. is fed with a key board in accordance with the item numbers of the list of voucher constituent elements (S20). A fundamental rectangle is displayed in accordance with the information corresponding to these input item numbers, and then, enlarged, contracted, and transferred to form a line image by a copying function (S21). After the whole layout of the voucher is decided, a tracing operation for giving information of line width and line forms to ruled lines on the line image is carried out (S22). The enclosed region of the voucher is designated to form a screen in accordance with the ruled lines on the image (S23). Finally, necessary characters are applied in character item columns by using the image on which the ruled lines and the screen regions have been decided (S24).
