摘要

PURPOSE:To ensure a jumping action at a high speed and high accuracy by impressing the deceleration pulse after the end of the acceleration pulse based on the output level of a binary coding circuit for tracking error signals. CONSTITUTION:The light beam is accelerated by an acceleration means toward the direction of the signal of a means 18 which indicates the direction of the jumping scan that shifts the light beam to an adjacent track from another track which is presently scanned by the light beam. When said acceleration is through, a deceleration means is actuated for deceleration of the light beam according to a fact that the output of a binary coding means 21 has an output of the prescribed value. Thus the failure of the jumping scan is prevented even though the light beam passes through the middle point between both tracks during impression of the acceleration pulse. As a result, a stable and fast jumping action is possible.
