PURPOSE:To detect the suitable molten metal supplying quantity by abutting a bar projecting from a product taking out device on a parting face of dies and detecting whether a biscuit part in a casting product is at the prescribed position or not, with an instrument for detecting position of biscuit end face. CONSTITUTION:At the time of taking out the casting product 5 formed with a die casting machine from a movable die 4 by holding with a product taking out device 12, the bar 21 having the prescribed length projecting to axial direction of the machine from a part of a chuck holding part 19 in the product taking out device 12 is abutted on the parting face 4a of movable die 4, and as whether the end face position of biscuit part 6 in the casting product 5 at this time is the position in the prescribed range in the axial direction of machine or not, is detected with the instrument 22 for detecting position of biscuit end face arranged to the chuck holding part 19 to detect the suitable molten metal supplying quantity, the detection can be easily and quickly executed. Then, by detecting the biscuit thickness at each injection, the molten metal supplying quantity is automatically adjusted so as to execute the die casting under the same condition.
