MANUFACTURE OF GOLF SHOE HOBNAIL

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing high quality golf shoe hobnails at a lower cost. ;CONSTITUTION: To manufacture a screw spike hobnail integrated by joining a seat comprised of a threaded portion and an umbrella portion and a wear- resistant spike chip, a recess 7 is formed in the center of a seat 2, and a cylinder 3 is protruded in the open end of the recess 7. The seat 2 is hardened by heat treatment. After plating the face of the seat 2, the large-diameter end of the spike chip 1 is inserted in the recess 7 and the spike chip 1 and the seat 2 are integrated by crimping the cylinder 3 protruding from the face of the seat 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
