PURPOSE: To provide a wrapping method and apparatus of a container mouth, which can smoothly receive and deliver sheets against a covering device of the container mouth with the covering sheet and correspond to a varied size of the cover sheet on the mouth. ;CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a cutting mechanism to cut a thermoplastic sheet belt, a vertical axis rotary drum 16 for delivery sucking and holding the sheets 41, a plurality of segments 43 to suck and hold a plurality of sheets supplied to respective mouths of containers after delivery of the sheets. In the delivery area of the sheets, the sucking and holding face of the segments is kept vertical to deliver them and in the area of covering work of the sheets at the container mouths, the sucking and holding face of the segments is turned to the horizontal condition to insert the container mouth into the aperture 54 for the covering work.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
