PURPOSE:A packaged PIETANG (a king of processed egg for Chinese dish) that is produced by adding a deoxidizer in the vessel, when the egg is placed in a vessel and tightly sealed, thus preveing shell-less eggs from discoloration. CONSTITUTION:Pietangs are removed of their shells, placed in a air-tightly sealable vessel preferably made of air-impermeable plastic such as polyvinylidene chloride together with a deoxidizer such as a bisulfite salt which is wrapped with an air-permeable material, usually Japanese paper in an amount 0.5-3pts. wt. to give objective packaged PIETANG.
