PURPOSE: To produce the powder and granular material with high accuracy with a simple stage by ejecting solder, etc., melted by heating in a heating chamber into oil, thereby spheroidizing the solder, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: The solder 5 is put from a material charging port 7 into a heating chamber 2 and gas blow is executed via a gas nozzle 4 by passing an inert gas from a gas inlet valve 3, by which the oxidation of the material is prevented. The solder 5 is heated and melted in the heating furnace 9 and simultaneously, an oil tank 12 is heated to a temp. lower than the temp. of the heating chamber 2 in a heater 10 for heating oil. The oil tank 12 is then risen by a jack 14 to immerse an injection chamber 6 into the oil tank 12. An automatic plug opening/closing mechanism 1 is moved upward to increase the gaseous pressure, by which the molten solder is ejected from the hole of the injection nozzle 8 into the oil tank 2. The distance between the peripheral wall of the oil tank 2 and the ejection nozzle 8 is maintained at a prescribed spacing at this time so that the ejected solder 5 does not collide against the peripheral wall. As a result, the molten solder 5 is spheroidized in the oil and is deposited on the bottom of the oil tank. The spherical solder having about 0.1 to 1.0mm diameter is thus obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
