Leakage detection device of the water pipe - boiler in thermal power plants

PURPOSE: To detect leak of the water tube of a boiler surely by disposing drain detection valves, while branching, at one or both of the lowermost part of seal air piping opening normally into a furnace and the lowermost part of air piping for burning an igniting torch. CONSTITUTION: Even if a small quantity if water leaks from the water tube 2 of a boiler, a large quantity of steam is generated in a furnace and the steam is fed back through the air piping 19 for burning a firing torch 18 and the seal air piping 15 and condensed eventually. The condensate is collected at the lowermost part of the piping 19, 15 and at the part of drain detection valves 17a, 17b and 17c branched therefrom. Consequently, water leak can be determined by detecting drain when the drain detection valve is opened by a patrol or detecting drain in a drain pan 21 in case of an air trap type drain detection valve 17c.
