TWO-STAGE REVERSIBLE PUMP TURBINE AND ITS EXHAUST OPERATION METHOD

PURPOSE:To surely prevent flooding of a low pressure stage runner chamber prior to flooding of a high pressure stage runner chamber. CONSTITUTION:At exhaust operation time, in a water filling pipe 34, water is injected to the peripheral part of a low pressure stage runner in a fully opened condition of a low pressure stage movable guide vane 8. In a detector 34, when a flow path 33 between the low pressure stage runner peripheral part and the low pressure stage movable guide vane is detected to be filled with injecting water from the water filling pipe 34, air in a high pressure stage runner chamber 6 is exhausted through a high pressure stage exhaust path 15. According to this exhaust, in a high pressure stage feed water pipe 24, water in a siphon 13 is introduced to the high pressure stage runner chamber 6, to perform its flooding. Hereafter, air in a low pressure stage runner chamber 12 is exhausted through a low pressure stage exhaust path 16, and according to this exhaust, by water in the siphon 13, flooding of the low pressure stage runner chamber 12 is performed.
