PURPOSE: To provide an automatic device (automatic shift function device) allowing an automobile to be accelerated automatically at adequate speed from the start to high speed only by the operation of a brake and an accelerator. ;CONSTITUTION: An automatic device for an automobile with the combination of a non-circular core function system and 'the centrifugal function system of steel balls 7 is formed of a body A having a cavity provided with the outer peripheral surface of an equilateral triangle with eccentric round angles; a power transmission distributing disc 13 rotatably disposed in the body A and fixed to a motive power shaft and that with cylinders bored at equal spaces apart in the radial direction of the motive power shaft; several power transmitting steel balls 7 brought into pressure contact with the outer peripheral surface while being slidably inserted into the cylinders bored at equal spaces apart in the power transmission distributing disc 13; and an energizing means formed of a spring 17 or other elastic bodies for energizing the steel balls 7 radially.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
