METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING POSITION OF BURIED PIPE AND CORROSION PREVENTING CURRENT

PURPOSE: To detect the position of a buried pipe and a corrosion preventing current at the position. ;CONSTITUTION: A corrosion preventing current generating means 1 generates a corrosion preventing current composed of a DC signal to be supplied to a buried pipe 4. A corrosion preventing current intermittently supplying means 2 intermittently supplies the current to the pipe 4 by intermittently operating against the current. A magnetic detecting means 5 is installed to the vicinity of the pipe 4 and detects the magnetic field generated by the current intermittently supplied to the pipe 4 from the means 2 as magnetic signals. A calculating means 8 calculates the position of the pipe 4 and the corrosion preventing current at the position based on the detected intermittent magnetic signals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
