PURPOSE:To enable a carbon dioxide gas laser tube to efficiently output laser rays by a method wherein carbon dioxide is diffused to an anode section through two paths, a discharge path and a glass capillary member. CONSTITUTION:A part (reservoir 29) between the outer wall of a discharge tube 11 and a gas charging glass tube 17 is filled with laser mixed gas which contains carbon dioxide, where the discharge tube 11 is composed of a cooling section of double-tube structure and a non-cooling section of non-double tube structure. Carbon dioxide inside the reservoir 29 is not only mixed with that in the discharge path 14 of the discharge tube 11 through a gap between the non-cooling section of the discharge tube 11 and a cathode 13 but also diffused into an anode lead-out tube 25. By this setup, a sealed type carbon dioxide gas laser tube is able to efficiently output laser rays.
