PURPOSE: To improve heating uniformity and operability and make a device compact in the tundish for continuous casting. ;CONSTITUTION: A tundish is divided into a molten metal receiving chamber block 1 and molten metal supplying chamber block 2, an inductor block 3 having a communicating hole 6 is provided between the receiving chamber block and supplying chamber block, the inductor block is provided with a heating inductor consisting of a heating coil 9 to wind the communicating hole and an iron core 10. By this arrangement, the reliable heat input to molten metal and high heating uniformity are obtained, also, the tundish is made compact, the operability of furnace construction and repair is greatly improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
