METHOD OF ROCKING WATER IN LARGE TANKS FOR AQUARIUM

PURPOSE: To allow sea weeds to grow on the bottom of the large tank in the aquarium, as they are swayed in the manner very close to the motion of the sea water in the natural sea bottom by shaking the water from the bottom of the tank using a specific structure. ;CONSTITUTION: At first, a long and large-diameter cylinder 1 having the opened top and the closed bottom is set upright in the large water tank 2 so that the closed bottom end comes to the bottom of the tank and the opened top end is positioned above the water level. Further, a large opening 3 for out- and in-flowing is formed on the lower side wall of the cylinder and a plunger 4 is hung and inserted into the cylinder 1. Then, a hydraulic cylinder 7 is driven to reciprocate the plunger 4 and the water in the tank 2 is swayed as the water is sucked from the large opening 3 and discharged out of the cylinder 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
