PURPOSE: To favorably apply a buried pipe having a small aperture by a simple structure necessary for supporting the buried pipe by reducing the space, eliminating the trouble of the deformation and breakage of the buried pipe, and permitting the sure operation free from the trouble during the propulsion work. ;CONSTITUTION: The frictional supporting surface such as a frictional plate 40 installed on a propulsion supporting body 2 is press-attached onto the inner surface of a buried pipe 3. When the propulsion supporting body 2 tends to shift in the propulsion direction relatively for the buried pipe 3, the press-contact force of the frictional supporting surface for the inner surface of the buried pipe 3 increases. When the propulsion supporting body 2 tends to shift in the opposite direction to the propulsion direction relatively for the buried pipe 3, the press-contact force of the frictional supporting surface for the inner surface of the buried pipe 3 reduces.
